Moammar Rana, born on February 26, 1974, is a Pakistani actor and film director known for his contributions to Lollywood movies and his appearances in Pakistani soap operas and television serials.
Family:
Moammar Rana comes from a cricketing family. His father, Shafqat Rana, played Test matches for Pakistan and served as a national cricket team selector twice. His uncle, Azmat Rana (late), also played one Test match. Another uncle, Shakoor Rana (late), was a renowned umpire, and his two sons, Mansoor and Maqsood, played a few ODIs. Yet another uncle, Sultan Rana, played first-class cricket before becoming a cricket administrator.

Moammar Rana started his film career with a role in "Kudiyon Ko Dale Dana" as a second lead actor. He gained his first breakthrough in "Deewane Tere Pyar Ke." In 1999, he appeared in the ensemble romantic film "Pal Do Pal," directed by the late Shamim Ara. He also starred in movies such as "Channa Sachi Muchi," "Fire," "Jhoomar," and "Koi Tujh Sa Kahan." His film "Choorian," directed by Syed Noor, became the highest-grossing Pakistani Punjabi film at the box office. Moammar Rana made a special appearance in the Bollywood film "Dobara" (2004) alongside actress Mahima Chaudhry. He made his Bollywood debut in “Ek Second... Jo Zindagi Badal De?”. In 2018, Rana was featured in the film "Azaadi," which revolved around the issue of Jammu and Kashmir. The film was directed and produced by Imran Malik.
