Mehwish Hayat, born on 6 January 1988, is a prominent Pakistani actress known for her work in Urdu films and television. She made her film debut in the comedy "Jawani Phir Nahi Ani" (2015) and subsequently appeared in "Actor in Law" (2016). Hayat's career has been marked by leading roles in successful comedies like "Punjab Nahi Jaungi" (2017), "Load Wedding" (2018), and "London Nahi Jaunga" (2022), all of which are among the highest-grossing Pakistani films. In 2012, the romantic drama series "Meray Qatil Meray Dildar" became a pivotal moment in Hayat's career, earning her acclaim and a Lux Style Awards nomination for Best Actress. She further showcased her talent by portraying strong-willed characters in Kashif Nisar's acclaimed series "Kami Reh Gayi" (2013).

Another older brother, Danish Hayat, is an actor, and she is the sister-in-law of Faiza Ashfaq, a model, through him. In 2020, there were unverified reports in the Indian media suggesting a relationship between Hayat and Dawood Ibrahim, a crime lord on India's most-wanted list. These rumors, likely slanderous and unfounded, arose due to Hayat's outspoken opinions and were never substantiated.
